CIRCA is a grant-funded institute whose support depends on recognition of its expertise, products, and engagement activities. Research teams awarded CIRCA funding help build the portfolio of resilience products. Since we want this work to reflect our Institute’s support, the following guidance describes how to acknowledge CIRCA in in print, presentations, and events:
Report covers should include the CIRCA, HUD, and DOH logos to acknowledge funding along with text that includes CIRCA’s support and mission. If authors prefer to have this information on a separate acknowledgement page, they can see the sample link below. Brochures and shorter printed materials should also include the three logos and CIRCA website.
Citation Format: Author Last Name, Author first name initial. (Year), Name of the product, University of Connecticut, Connecticut Institute for Resilience and Climate Adaptation, Other institution name, Retrieved from Link (if there is a dataset website), DOI: link
All public PowerPoint or poster presentations should include the three logos and a statement to acknowledge funders (either given verbally or in print), “Project support comes from the Connecticut Institute for Resilience and Climate Adaptation.”
All flyers, posters, announcements, etc. advertising events related to CIRCA and the Resilient Connecticut project should include the three logos and, if space allows, acknowledgement text: “Project support comes from the Connecticut Institute for Resilience and Climate Adaptation.” Please notify CIRCA’s Director of Community Engagement (email@example.com) of public events 2-3 weeks prior in order to advertise an event on the CIRCA and Resilient Connecticut websites and in the monthly Resilience Roundup newsletter.
