Climate Change in Connecticut
GC3 Resources
In the coming decades, significant changes in Connecticut’s climate are inevitable and to some extent, foreseeable. The Governor’s Council on Climate Change (CG3) Phase I report outlines important climate topics, related working groups, and strategic recommendations on a broad range of climate topics in the state. The GC3 Science and Technology Working Group Report specifically identifies potential impacts of sea level rise, temperature and precipitation to infrastructure and ecosystems along with strategies to mitigate these impacts. CIRCA’s research played a key role in this working group report since planning for adaptation requires local information about expected changes in climate.
