In Connecticut, property owners and municipalities faced with nuisance beavers have choices for how to
address problems.  In Connecticut, beaver populations are managed by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP) while human maintenance of beaver dams and streams is under the jurisdiction of local
Inland Wetlands Agencies.
